How we develop our scents at Curiosa

How our fragrances are created

Behind every Curiosa fragrance is a process where science, creativity, and craftsmanship meet. All development takes place in our lab in Sweden, where our chemist, with over thirty-five years of experience, creates each composition from idea to final recipe. This is where the identity of the fragrances is shaped and where the small details that make such a big difference on the skin are set.

Once a fragrance is fully developed, the recipe is passed on to one of our European production partners who work according to industry safety standards. There, it is adapted so that each ingredient is within approved levels and the perfume oil can be produced in larger batches with stable quality. The recipe retains its character but is technically and legally prepared for volume production.

Once the perfume oil is produced and approved, it returns to us in Sweden. This is where the perfume takes its final form. Then the craftsmanship begins. All our products, from perfumes, testers, and perfume oils, are filled, sealed, and labeled by hand in our own production. It is a job that requires precision and care and guarantees that every bottle meets the standard we stand for.

Only when every detail has been checked are the products packed and made ready for delivery. A Curiosa fragrance is never just a product. It is the result of solid expertise in our lab, meticulousness in every step, and craftsmanship that makes every bottle personal.
