Fairy Skin

Fairyskin is a face and body gel that gently erases skin hyper pigmentation caused by an excess of melanin. The synergy of the different plant extracts helps to achieve a whitening effect. The gel also acts as a stimulant of microcirculation and has astringent and gentle exfoliating properties.
Variation in skin colour are caused by different levels of a pigment called melanin in the skin. Melanin is synthesised in organelles called melanosomes, in melanocyt cells, by the action of an enzyme - tyrosinase. Most skin lightning products target tyrosinase inhibition because it is one of the first steps in the pigment formation and can therefore block all pigment producing pathways.
Fairyskin is:
- Safe.
- Botanically derived.
- Hydroquinone free.
- Effective.
Many of the traditionally used skin lightening products such as hydroquinone are still used in many countries, inspite of serious health concerns, including accumulation of mercury in the body and poisoning. These adverse effects have lead to the search of safer, plant-based skin lightening products. The ideal skin lightening agent for cosmetic products is one that inhibits melanogenesis without cytotoxicity, reduces pigmentation in cells and is of ”natural” or ”plant” origin.
Key benefits
- Protects sensitive skins against chemical and mechanical aggressions.
- Diminishes brown spots caused by the excess of melanin and due to skin aging processes.
- Reduces skin pigmentation problems occurring during pregnancy and hormonal malfunctioning periods.
- Fairyskin reduces melanin pigmentation by inhibition of tyrosinase and by chelation of at the level of melanocytes.
- Fairyskin reduces melaninisation of melanosomes.
- Fairyskin promotes desquamation of the superficial horny layers and the melanin pigmentary residues contained therein.
Continued application of Fairyskin will:
- Decrease the pigmentation of skin.
- Help lighten the skin.
